বাংলা নববর্ষকে সামনে রেখে ধানমন্ডির মাইডাস সেন্টারে আসন্ন ৬ ও ৭ এপ্রিল তারিখে পঞ্চমবারের মতো অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে বাংলাভাষী নারীদের নেটওয়ার্ক 'মেয়ে' আয়োজিত বাংলাদেশি উদ্যোগের মেলা ‘রাঙতা’।
যেকোনো উদ্যোগের শুরুটা হয় ভালোলাগা থেকে। এই ভালোলাগাকে পুঁজি করে পথ চলা কিছু উদ্যোক্তা বন্ধুর যৌথ আয়োজন ‘রাঙতা’।
‘মেয়ে’ বাংলাভাষী নারীদের নিয়ে মিলেমিশে গড়ে ওঠা একটি অলাভজনক, স্বেচ্ছাসেবী নেটওয়ার্ক। মেয়েদের বন্ধুতা, ক্ষমতায়ন ও নেতৃত্বের বিকাশ ‘মেয়ে’র প্রতিপাদ্য। ২০১১ সালের জুনে একটি ফেসবুক গ্রুপ থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে অনলাইন থেকে অফলাইনে সম্মিলিত মত বিনিময়, ভাবনার বিকাশ ও উদ্যোগের প্রসারের মধ্য দিয়ে গত সাড়ে ৬ বছরে প্রায় ৬ হাজার নারীর নির্ভরতার ঠাঁই হয়ে উঠেছে ‘মেয়ে’। যুগ যুগ ধরে নারীকে যে নীরবতার শিক্ষা দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার দেয়ালে নিজেদের সোচ্চার কণ্ঠ দিয়ে ফাটল ধরাতে মেয়েদেরকে একত্রিত করে বিশাল এক পরিবার হয়ে উঠেছে ‘মেয়ে’। সময়ের সাথে সেই পরিবারে যোগ দিয়েছেন পুরুষ এবং তৃতীয় লিঙ্গের মানুষও। এই সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টার ধারাবাহিকতায় ‘মেয়ে’র অনেক অনেক উদ্যোগের মাঝে একটি হলো ‘রাঙতা’ নামের মেলাটি। 'মেয়ে' বিশ্বাস করে নারীর ক্ষমতায়নে অর্থনৈতিক স্বাবলম্বিতার কোনো বিকল্প নেই। সেই ভাবনা আর আলোচনার সূত্রে ২০১৩ সালের অক্টোবর মাসে সম্পূর্ণ নিজস্ব উদ্যোগে কিছু নবীন উদ্যোক্তা নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় প্রথম মেলাটি। প্রথম মেলার অভাবনীয় সাফল্য উদ্যোক্তাদের নিয়ে 'মেয়ে'র নতুন শাখা 'হুটহাট'-এর সৃষ্টি ও প্রসারে উৎসাহ জুগিয়েছে। ব্যবসায়িক মুনাফা নয়, বরং ভালোলাগা এবং মূল্যবোধকে অগ্রাধিকার দিয়ে গুণগত মানসম্পন্ন ক্রেতাবিক্রেতার সমাহার সৃষ্টি এবং বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ যোগাযোগের মধ্য দিয়ে ব্যবসায়িক সাফল্য অর্জন 'রাঙতা'র সাফল্যের মূলমন্ত্র। তাই বাজারচলতি বিদেশি পণ্যের ভিড়ে একান্তই নিজস্ব সৃষ্টিশীলতা নিয়ে ব্যতিক্রমী পথে হেঁটে চলেছে 'রাঙতা'। 'মেয়ে' থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করলেও হুটহাট এবং রাঙতায় ক্রেতা ও বিক্রেতা হিসেবে লিঙ্গনির্বিশেষে সকল মানুষ আমন্ত্রিত।
প্রাণের টানে, শখ ও স্বাতন্ত্র্যকে পুঁজি করে ২০১৩-তে যে রাঙতার পথচলা শুরু, তিন বছরে শখের গণ্ডি পেরিয়ে তা আরো বিস্তৃত ও পেশাদার হওয়ার সম্মিলিত সাহস অর্জন করেছে। এবারের রাঙতা আয়োজিত হচ্ছে দ্বিগুণ কলেবরে, আরো বিস্তৃত পরিকল্পনা নিয়ে। বরাবরের মতো এবারও মেলাতে অংশগ্রহণ করছেন মেয়ে নেটওয়ার্কের উদ্যোক্তা শাখা "হুটহাট"-এর কয়েকজন অনন্য উদ্যোক্তা। সেই সঙ্গে যোগ দিচ্ছে হুটহাটের বাইরের কিছু আনকোরা উদ্যোক্তা। মেয়ের নিজস্ব স্টলসহ মোট ৪৪টি স্টলে নিজেদের পণ্যের পসরা সাজাবে ৫৫টি উদ্যোগ। পাওয়া যাবে নতুন-পুরাতন বই, গাছ, হরেক রকম খাবার, মসলা, ছোট বড় সকলের জন্য নিজস্ব নকশার জামাকাপড়, দেশীয় তাঁতের শাড়ি, দেশি জামদানি, কাতান, নকশিকাঁথা শাড়ি, হাতে বানানো গয়না, রংতুলিতে আঁকা পোশাক, গৃহস্থালির সরঞ্জাম, চামড়াজাত পণ্য, ব্যাগ, জুতো, নির্ভরযোগ্য কসমেটিকস, খেলনা, পেইন্টিং এবং বিভিন্ন ধরনের সেবা। এবার প্রথমবারের মতো মেলায় কার্ডে মূল্য পরিশোধের সুবিধা রাখা হবে। সেই সঙ্গে থাকবে বাড়িতে মেলার পণ্য পৌঁছে দেওয়ার ব্যবস্থা।
এছাড়া এবারের রাঙতা মেলায় প্রথমবারের মতো চিত্রপ্রদর্শনী হতে যাচ্ছে। সেটা আর্যর জন্য। ২০১৫ সাথে মাত্র চার বছর বয়সে আর্যর মাথায় ধরা পড়ে ব্রেইন টিউমার। বর্তমানে সাত বছরের ছোট্ট আর্য ব্রেইন টিউমার আর ক্যানসারকে পরাজিত করে দেশে ফিরেছে। তবে তাকে পুরোপুরি সুস্থ হতে পাড়ি দিতে হবে আরও অনেকটা পথ। সেই পথ বেদনার এবং ব্যয়বহুল। আর্যর জন্য অর্থ সংগ্রহ করতে তার বাবা শিল্পী বিপ্লব ভট্টাচার্যর আঁকা ১৫টি ছবি এবার রাঙতায় আনা হবে।

'মেয়ে'র পক্ষ থেকে এবারের মেলার আয়োজন করছেন তৃষিয়া নাশতারান, স্মিতা দাস এবং সাবরিনা আমান রিভী। আর্যর জন্য চিত্রপ্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন করছে গোপা আর্টে অ্যান্ড ক্রাফটের পক্ষ থেকে সারাওয়াত ইকবাল তেষা। সহযোগিতায় রয়েছেন অনন্যা রুবাইয়াত। সহ ধানমন্ডির মাইডাস সেন্টারে ৬ ও ৭ এপ্রিল দুইদিন সকাল ১০টা থেকে রাত ৯টা পর্যন্ত চলবে মেলা। এক ঝাঁক ঝকঝকে উদ্যোগের সাথে পরিচিত হতে, বৈশাখের জন্য অভিনব কিছু পণ্য কিনতে, কিংবা নিছক আড্ডা দিতে সকলে আমন্ত্রিত এই প্রাণের মেলায়।

‘Rangta’, a fair organized by Meye Network to promote Bangladeshi Entrepreneurs to be held at Dhanmondi
In celebration of upcoming Bengali New Year, for the fifth time “Meye” network brings to you Rangta, a unique fair celebrating passion and entrepreneurship. The fair is going to take place at Midas Centre, Dhanmondi on the 6th and 7th of April this year.
Any artistic endeavor begins from the passion for creativity. Such collaborative passion of a group of friends laid the first stepping stone for Rangta.
Meye (Bangla for Girl), is a non-profit, voluntary, and organic network of Bengali speaking women, advocating women’s solidarity, empowerment and leadership. Founded in 2011, Meye has created a community of over six thousand women to date. Meye strives to sustain a non-judgmental environment for not only women but people of all genders from all walks of life, enabling them to brainstorm together in order to generate ideas, and to establish a platform to implement them. In the last six and a half years it has become a trustworthy support system of around 6,000 women in home and abroad. “Meye” is a true believer of the idea that to empower women there is no alternative to financial freedom. This vision led “Meye” to organize the first fair in October, 2013 with a handful of fresh entrepreneurs from the network naming it "Rangtaa", success of which exceeded all our expectations. This success led “Meye” to create a new group as a dedicated online marketplace – “Hoothaat”.
“Hoothaat” is not just any profit oriented online shopping group. Rather, creating a common ground for passion and principle is the driving force of this group which is dedicated to operating a network of innovative entrepreneurship through qualitative filtering and friendly interactions among buyers and sellers, bringing quality products by Bangladeshi entrepreneurs. This is the reason why when our markets are flooded with exported products “Rangta” stands tall with its unique and creative products. Even though “Meye” started as a women only network, people of all genders are welcome in “Hoothaat”, “Rangta” and all other offline initiatives.
The passion, that drove “Rangta” to take its first baby step in 2013, today has become an amazing success story of entrepreneurship and innovative Bangladeshi products. This is the power of passion, vision and togetherness which gave Rangta the courage to take a professional shape and extend its horizon. This year Rangta is going stronger with doubled capacity and extended planning. The 55 vendors in this year’s “Rangta” will be entrepreneurs from “Hoothaat” as well as some like-minded guest entrepreneurs, who will arrange a colossal variety of unique local products in 44 stalls. The products will include new and old books, plants, food, spices, clothing for all age range, handwoven cotton sarees, Jamdani, Katan, Nakshikantha sarees handmade jewelries, hand painted dresses, household items, leather goods, bags, shoes, authentic cosmetics, toys, paintings and services. For the very first time, buyers can make payments using debit or credit cards. We will even provide home delivery service on request. ‘Rangta’ will take place at the Midas center in Dhanmondi on the 6th and 7th of April. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Besides, for the very first time, there is going to be an art exhibition at Rangta. The exhibition will display 15 watercolor paintings by artist Biplab Bhattacharya. All proceeds collected from the sale of these paintings will contribute to the treatment of Biplab's 7 years old son Arya, who was diagnosed with cancer and brain tumor 3 years back.
The organizing committee of this year’s Rangta includes three members of the network; Trishia Nashtaran, Smita Das and Sabrina Aman Reevy. The art exhibition has been executed by Sarawat Iqbal Tesha on behalf of Gopa Art and Craft, and assisted by Ananya Rubayat.
